Junior SEO & Growth Analytics Manager (80%, hybrid remote)

Berlin
Part-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

We are seeking a data-driven, technically inclined Junior SEO & Growth Analytics Manager based in Berlin to take ownership of our organic search visibility, technical optimization, data reporting, and LLM search discovery strategies. This is a part-time role with an 80% work pensum (32h per week on 4 days) and a hybrid-remote position.

Note: You are not required to write content. Instead, you will act as the technical architect and strategist behind our search performance, designing topical clusters, analyzing growth metrics, steering Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and building automated LLM workflows to scale our operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Architecture & Technical Briefing

  • Partner directly with the CMO to design high-impact content strategies that drive search traffic and AI search engine visibility.

  • Create structured technical briefs for content writers, defining keyword target maps, semantic entity coverage, internal linking, and content clusters.

  • Review writer outlines and finished drafts to enforce technical SEO standards and structural integrity before publication.

2. Technical SEO & Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)

  • Maintain best-in-class technical SEO health: schema markup, Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, and site architecture.

  • Develop and execute strategies for GEO / AI Search to ensure our brand is referenced and cited across major AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini).

  • Leverage LLM workflows and AI tools to automate task execution, fast-track keyword clustering, and perform content gap analyses.

3. Analytics, Reporting & BI Collaboration

  • Collaborate with our BI Analyst to request or build custom performance dashboards in Looker Studio and Google Sheets.

  • Track, evaluate, and present monthly reports on traffic trends, keyword rankings, backlink health, and AI share of voice.

  • Produce monthly data-driven recommendations for site optimization (e.g., content pruning, page merging, internal link expansion).

4. Backlinking, Digital PR & Partnerships

  • Support organic link-building efforts by auditing third-party target sites for relevance, authority, domain health, and backlink risk profiles.

  • Collaborate with the PR & Partnerships managers to uncover niche, high-value link-building opportunities.

Your profile

  • Experience: ~1–2 years in SEO or digital marketing with a focus on technical SEO, site auditing, or data analytics.

  • Languages: Fluent English is required. Fluency in German, French or Italian is a plus, but not mandatory.

  • Creative Background: A background, degree, or personal passion for Music or Creative Arts is strongly preferred.

  • Technical SEO & AI Toolset: Baseline experience with standard SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, GA4). Enthusiasm for leveraging LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) for productivity and search analysis.

  • Data Literacy: Comfortable working with Google Sheets and open to building/managing reports in Looker Studio.

Don't check every single box? Apply anyway! We don't expect you to be a master of all areas on day one. If you have strong foundational analytical/SEO skills and a curiosity to learn, we will provide hands-on training and mentorship to close any skill gaps.

iMusician was founded with a rebellious spirit and a vision to change the tune of the music industry, to open doors in the music industry, giving independent artists and labels the access they deserve.
We’re a diverse, international team of DIY musicians, label owners, and industry professionals. Music isn’t just what we do - it’s in our DNA, like a never-ending melody. We understand the daily grind and hustle musicians face because we’re part of that same community. Our goal? To empower DIY musicians to take control of their careers and thrive.

What we do?

We distribute music from independent artists and labels to hundreds of music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer or Beatport. At iMusician, we believe music should be more than just a passion project. Musicians deserve to be paid. That’s why we’re fighting to ensure equal access to the marketplace, helping you manage, sell, protect, and monetize your music. The more you can sustain yourself, the more you can create - and the world needs your music.

Culture & Office

Berlin is our main hub, where most of our team is based and the energy of our work comes alive. We also have a second office in Zurich, but with remote work at the heart of our culture, many of our employees are spread across the globe, working from different countries. While we embrace remote work as the future, we also know that culture and connection grow when we come together. That's why you can choose to work from a centrally located Coworking office or from your fully equipped home office most of the time. We regularly gather for team events or team office days because collaboration fuels our creativity, just like in the best jam sessions.
